Your Role in a Nutshell

As Information Management Advisor for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), you will lead the development and implementation of information management strategies and procedures at the adidas Foundation. 

You will drive the optimization of data management software that underpins the organization's data-driven decision-making processes. Your role will support effective electronic data collection, storage, and dissemination while ensuring the design and execution of advanced quantitative analyses to generate actionable insights.

In this position, you will ensure the proper and effective flow of data from partners and the field into the data management software hosted at adidas Foundation. You will lead the implementation of measures to control data quality and security throughout all phases of the data flow. 

Your responsibilities will include acting as our in-house data detective, developing and implementing innovative data tools, maintaining robust dashboards and other forms of data visualization. Additionally, you will foster a culture of learning and innovation by delivering tailored training, creating user-friendly data content, and supporting teams in leveraging data effectively for monitoring, evaluation, and program learning.

Your Day-To-Day

• Own adidas Foundation impact data
• Identify, deploy and operate a state-of-the-art digital data collection tool, explore possibilities of AI integration, ensure interoperability between data systems.
• Develop a data management procedure, data structure and aggregation logic, and create dashboards for relevant stakeholders (leadership, program managers, partners)
• Implement data safeguarding procedures, including data validation, cleaning, and regular audits maintaining completeness, accuracy, and integrity. 
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis using statistical software to generate insights on program performance and impact.
• Prepare analytical reports, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders and partners, highlighting key trends in an engaging and compelling way.
• Train project teams and field staff on data collection tools and best practices in data management.
• Support the design of data collection methodologies for new projects.
• Contribute to evaluations and research work by analyzing quantitative and quantitative data that informs the study's findings.
• Explore innovative ways to collect data and indicators to enhance program monitoring and evaluation

• Experience with MEAL approaches, tools, and methods for grantmaking across a diverse global portfolio

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data findings clearly and creatively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple data projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with understanding for remote or resource-limited settings.

Your Fundamentals

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, preferably in the context of M&E, with proven experience in data analysis. 
• Proven experience in implementing data systems and conducting complex data analysis.
• Experience with data collection in low-resource settings and familiarity with development indicators is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish) is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel, also in remote regions
